Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi, widely loved for his comic roles in the Golmaal franchise and as Circuit in Munna Bhai MBBS, recently opened up about a lesser-known and disappointing phase of his career. Speaking candidly to Lallantop, the actor reflected on his experience while working on the film Hulchul.

Arshad revealed that he had agreed to the film with the expectation of playing a role similar in impact to Akshay Kumar’s iconic performances in popular comedy films like Hera Pheri. According to him, he was led to believe that his character would have a similar comic weight and presence.

However, his excitement quickly faded once he arrived on set and realized that the role was very different from what he had been promised.

The actor admitted that the situation left him deeply disappointed. He described the entire experience as unpleasant and said the shoot turned into a “bad experience” for him. Despite his dissatisfaction, Arshad chose to honour his professional commitment and completed the film.

Reflecting on the incident, Arshad Warsi highlighted the importance of clarity and honesty in filmmaking, especially when it comes to actors’ roles.
