A heart-stirring tribute to the eternal bond between a mother and her child, O Maayi Ri, sung by Shreya Ghoshal, from The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond has been officially released — and it is already touching hearts.

While the teaser of The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond showcased a sharp and intense progression from the first instalment, the newly released song brings a contrasting wave of emotion and tenderness. Helmed by National Award–winning director Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film traces the disturbing journey of three Hindu girls, portrayed by Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha, and Aditi Bhatia. What begins as love soon reveals a chilling, orchestrated plot centred around religious conversion, pushing the narrative into deeply unsettling territory.

Amidst the rising anticipation for the film, O Maayi Ri arrives as an emotional anchor. Rendered with pure vulnerability by Shreya Ghoshal, the song is beautifully composed by Mannan Shaah and enriched by Manoj Muntashir’s heartfelt lyrics. It captures the warmth, protection, and unconditional love of a mother — a melody that lingers long after it ends, embracing listeners like a gentle, reassuring hug.

The song also marks yet another magical collaboration between producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Shreya Ghoshal. Their previous musical associations include memorable tracks from Force (2011) and Action Replayy (2010), songs that continue to resonate with audiences even today.

Echoing through the teaser and the film’s narrative is the powerful slogan that defines its spirit: “Ab Sahenge Nahi… Ladenge!”

Following the massive nationwide impact of The Kerala Story, which sparked intense debate with its bold and provocative storytelling, the sequel promises to go even further — beyond comfort, beyond silence, and beyond denial. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and co-produced by Aashin A Shah under the banner Sunshine Pictures.

The film is slated to release in cinemas on 27 February 2026.
