The Main Hoon Na 2 discussions have once again stirred again and the news according to rumours is that Shah Rukh Khan and the director Farah Khan might join hands once again in the long awaited sequel. Released in 2004, the original movie is possibly one of the most popular films by SRK, with an amalgamation of action, romance, comedy, and patriotism.

Of course, the information about a possible sequel has caused excitement among viewers. Farah Khan has been working on an idea of Main Hoon Na 2 and has already consulted Shah Rukh Khan on the same according to industry buzz. The only thing that is even more intriguing about the project is that SRK is said to be considered to play a dual role. Assuming this is completed would enable him to portray two opposite characters which would bring further depth and entertainment to the story. The sequel is anticipated to remain faithful to the spirit of the original, but it will feature a new plot that would be applicable nowadays.

The plot is believed to be based on a new national threat, and it is mixed with emotional moments, humour and action. It is even stated by the sources that Shah Rukh himself has helped in the development of the main idea and demonstrated that he was highly involved in the project. Currently, SRK is occupied with the filming of his next movie King. After he finishes that project, he will probably be able to hear the entire narration of Main Hoon Na 2 before making a final decision.

So far the makers have not officially confirmed the production or release of the film. Casting Sushmita Sen, Suniel Shetty, Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao, the original cast is also still recalled by the fans. Although it is uncertain whether they would be revisited, viewers are optimistic of few nostalgic factors.
