Rani Mukerji has taken her commitment beyond the screen by joining hands with the Delhi Police to raise awareness about the safety of girls and women in the national capital. Riding on the powerful message of Mardaani 3, the actor has lent her voice and presence to initiatives focused on protection, vigilance, and empowerment.

Rani Mukerji’s message from Mardaani 3, which highlights the urgent need to safeguard the girl child, has resonated strongly not just with the film fraternity but also with some of India’s most celebrated female athletes, including Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandanna, PV Sindhu, Manu Bhaker, and Deepti Sharma. Taking this message a step further, Rani has aligned with Delhi Police to spotlight the everyday efforts of officers working to ensure safety across the city.

Speaking about the initiative, Rani said, “Safety is not a privilege. It is a right and no girl in this country should grow up learning fear before freedom. A society is judged by how it protects its women and the police stand on the front line of that promise.” She praised the constant vigilance of Delhi Police and emphasised that every uniform represents responsibility, courage, and compassion.

She further added, “When a woman steps out of her home, she should feel confident, not concerned. The law stands with you steadfastly. The uniform stands with you like a protective cloak around you. A nation cannot move forward while its women look over their shoulders and I salute Delhi Police for their dedication and resilience to keep girls and women safe across the national capital.”

The Mardaani franchise remains India’s only successful female-led cop series, consistently bringing uncomfortable but necessary conversations to the forefront. In its third instalment, Mardaani 3 reportedly addresses a deeply disturbing issue involving the kidnapping of young girls aged 8 to 9 years from economically vulnerable backgrounds, with the makers carefully keeping the plot under wraps.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Yash Raj Films, Mardaani 3 released in theatres yesterday. The film also marks a special milestone for Rani Mukerji as she completes 30 years in the film industry, a journey that continues to inspire conversations around courage, responsibility, and social change.
