Suniel Shetty has been in the movies for so long, and now his son Ahan Shetty is stepping into this sequel called Border 2. There is a lot of buzz about it, people talking it up. But Suniel, he hasn’t watched the film at all. Not even a clip or anything. It seems like it’s this personal choice he made.
He called it a mannat, sort of a promise to himself. The deal is, he won’t see Border 2 until it makes 500 crores around the world at the box office. That’s a really big number, right. I think it’s coming from a place of faith in Ahan, like believing the movie will do well without him checking it out early. Not sure if its superstition exactly, but more about a dad holding back to support.

At the premiere event, the whole family showed up. His wife Mana Shetty, daughter Athiya Shetty with her husband KL Rahul, and Ahan all went in to watch. Suniel stayed outside though. He was chatting with folks, soaking up their reactions and wishes. That moment feels kind of quiet and strong, him choosing to wait like that.
The original Border came out back in 97, a war story that stuck with people. This new one has Ahan acting alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh. Its pulling in crowds, connecting on some emotional level for Hindi cinema. Suniel sounded really proud when he talked about it, not just his son but how everything came together.
Once it hits that 500 crore, hell finally sit down with the family and the team to see it. For now, its all about this hopeful wait from the side. Faith in Ahan doing his thing. I might be missing some details here, but it comes off as a fathers unique support, even if it means staying out. The films still running strong in theaters, so who knows, it could get there.
