Palaash Muchhal Caught Cheating Again After Marriage Called Off With Smriti Mandhana?

Palaash Muchhal has landed in controversy once again after allegations of infidelity surfaced online, months after his reported wedding plans…

Music composer, singer and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal has once again become the subject of public and legal scrutiny amid fresh allegations of cheating and fraud months after his high-profile wedding cancellation with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana last year.

A 34-year-old actor-producer from Sangli, Maharashtra, named Vidnyan Mane, has filed a formal complaint against Muchhal with local police alleging that he was cheated out of Rs40 lakh during an investment in a film project. According to the complaint, the producer was introduced to Muchhal in December 2023 and was offered a chance to invest in an upcoming film titled Nazariya as a co-producer, with assurances of stable returns and even a role in the project. Mane claims he transferred a total of ₹40 lakh by March 2025, but the film remains unfinished and the promised profits were never delivered.

The Sangli Superintendent of Police has confirmed that a preliminary inquiry is underway, but no First Information Report (FIR) has been formally registered yet. Mane has also made more explosive claims, suggesting that Muchhal was caught “red-handed with another woman” during events linked to his personal life, and that tensions led to an altercation involving friends of Smriti Mandhana. These claims have not been independently verified and are being contested.

In addition to the financial dispute, Mane alleges that Muchhal and his family demanded additional funds to complete the movie and threatened to blackmail him if he did not provide more money — allegations that Muchhal’s side rejects.

Palaash Muchhal has strongly denied all allegations, labeling them “entirely baseless and factually incorrect.” He took to social media to call the claims malicious attempts to tarnish his reputation and stated that his legal team is exploring all available options, including potential legal action against those making accusations.

His lawyer has also questioned the lack of concrete evidence presented so far and stressed that the accusations linking him to infidelity or financial misconduct remain unproven. This controversy follows close on the heels of Muchhal’s cancelled wedding with Smriti Mandhana, which dominated headlines in late 2025. The couple had been due to marry in November 2025, but the ceremony was postponed and later called off amid reported family health concerns — though online speculation quickly linked the split to alleged cheating rumors. Muchhal addressed the situation at the time, asking the public not to judge based on unverified chatter.

The police in Sangli are currently conducting a preliminary probe into the ₹40 lakh complaint. It remains to be seen whether this will escalate into a registered FIR and a formal investigation. Legal experts note that for now, these are allegations, and no criminal charges have been proven against Muchhal. Public opinion continues to be divided, with social media discussion around the matter growing rapidly.
