Bollywood actor Govinda has finally responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding his marriage with Sunita Ahuja. Over the past year their relationship has been under constant public attention especially after rumours of divorce and Govinda’s alleged extramarital affairs started doing the rounds.
Recently, Sunita Ahuja grabbed attention after she claimed that Govinda had multiple affairs and said that she would never forgive him. Her remarks led to fresh discussions and made people question the strength of their long marriage. Now Govinda has finally spoken out and shared his side.
Talking to news agency ANI, Govinda said he believes Sunita is being “used” without knowing it as part of a “big conspiracy.” He explained that staying silent can make someone look weak or guilty which is why he chose to speak now. The actor also said that some people close to him might be involved without realising they are being misled in the early stages.
Using a cricket example, Govinda said that Sunita has been put forward like an “opening batsman,” meaning she was pushed into the situation without fully knowing the bigger plan. He also claimed that powerful people have tried to harm his image in the past, something he believes often happens when an actor becomes very popular.

Govinda further said that he prays there is no misunderstanding within his family and hopes the situation does not affect his children. He requested his family members to stay united and not to fall for negativity or false narratives.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have two children, Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan Ahuja. In 2024 rumours about their separation began to surface but Sunita had denied them saying that no one could come between them. However, recent statements from both sides suggest that everything may not be completely fine.
