A new social media buzz has taken over film circles after a post on X went viral involving actress Shraddha Kapoor, director Aditya Dhar, and renowned casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

The original post criticised Shraddha Kapoor for sharing multiple Instagram stories praising Aditya Dhar and his recent blockbuster Dhurandhar, suggesting that she was trying to gain attention from the filmmaker. What amplified the situation was the fact that Mukesh Chhabra — the casting director of Dhurandhar — liked the post, which immediately ignited discussion online.

Many users interpreted Chhabra’s ‘like’ as an indirect confirmation that Shraddha Kapoor is unlikely to be cast in any Aditya Dhar project. Social media reactions suggested that Dhar and Chhabra may not be considering her for future films, though neither has officially commented on the matter.

Fans quickly picked up the narrative, speculating that no amount of praise from Shraddha would secure her a role in Dhar’s movies. Others argued that social media interpretations often spiral without context and that a ‘like’ does not necessarily indicate any professional stance.

Now it will be interesting to see if Shraddha will be Aditya’s heroine or not?
