Yash’s most awaited comeback film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups finally unveiled its teaser on his 40th birthday and fans cannot keep calm. Yash treated fans to a birthday surprise as the makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown- Ups dropped a special teaser title ‘Toxic: Introducing Raya’. The teaser marks Yash’s return to the big screen after KGF has instantly set social media on fire.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the teaser introduces Raya a character very different from Rocky bhai, yet carrying the same strong screen presence and swag that fans associate with Yash. Set against a gritty backdrop that appears to be 1990’s Goa the visuals are dark, raw and intense. The teaser ends with Yash being shirtless, tattooed, draped in a black coat coolly declearing “Daddy’s home.”
Toxic boasts a strong ensemble caste including Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Nayanthara. Slated for a theater release on March 19, 2026 the film promises a bold, violent and stylish cinematic experience aimed at mature audiences.
As soon as the teaser dropped X (formally twitter) was flooded with reactions like : “Absolutely domination Yash in TOXIC isn’t just a teaser movement its a power statement.” “Daddy’s home. Many fans also praised the bold visuals and background score calling the teaser a sensor board stress test and predicting record breaking box office numbers.
The excitement is set to double as toxic will class with Dhurandhar 2 director by Aditya Dhar. Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh has created history by becoming the highest grossing Hindi film in India with over Rs 831 cr net collection.
With two big ticket films releasing on the same day March 19, 2026 is already being called one of the biggest box office battles in recent times.
A day before the teaser release, Yash shared an emotional note on Instagram stories, saying he knows fans have been waiting to see him for yours and that he feels the same way. The teaser seems to be his way of telling fans that the wait was worth it.
