Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan recently shared his thoughts on nepotism in Bollywood, saying he does not hate the term…

Actor Junaid Khan, who recently made his big-screen debut with Ek Din, has opened up about the ongoing nepotism debate in Bollywood and shared an honest perspective on the privilege of coming from a film family. The actor, who is Aamir Khan’s son, said he does not have a problem with the word “nepotism” and believes it should not automatically be treated as an insult.

During a recent interaction, Junaid admitted that star kids do receive easier access to opportunities compared to outsiders trying to enter the industry. However, he also pointed out that sustaining a career ultimately depends on talent, hard work and audience acceptance. Speaking about the term, Junaid said, “I don’t hate the word nepotism,” while acknowledging that privilege exists in many professions and industries, not just cinema.

The actor also reflected on growing up as Aamir Khan’s son and revealed that despite belonging to one of Bollywood’s biggest film families, he had to prepare seriously before stepping into acting. Junaid trained in theatre for several years and worked behind the scenes before making his acting debut. He reportedly shared that his father never pressured him into films and instead encouraged him to understand the craft properly.

Junaid’s comments have sparked mixed reactions online. While many appreciated his honesty and balanced take on nepotism, others continued debating whether star kids receive unfair advantages in Bollywood. Social media users praised the actor for acknowledging his privilege rather than denying it completely.

On the work front, Junaid Khan has been gaining attention for his performance in Ek Din and is slowly carving his own identity in the film industry beyond his famous surname.
